We’re very excited to announce the progress we have already made .

Recruitment of a hub manager to run & build the network - Discussions are taking place to find a highly qualified manager to manage the ACTion to end Modern Slavery Network.

The Wilberforce Institute are developing research on legal enforcement within modern slavery, alongside developing and expanding a suite of Continuous Professional Development Workshops that will focus on extending the aims of ACTion to end Modern Slavery. This provides lawyers, police, social workers, community workers and members of business organisations access to resources, training and expertise on modern slavery.

Website development - we are developing a website for ACTion to end modern slavery. This website will be the centre for all information including CPD Workshops, upcoming courses, access to research advice and a place to connect and network with other members and gain useful knowledge.

March 2021 - Identify and develop a suite of Continuing Professional Development courses, building on existing and highly successful CPD courses and workshops in aspects of modern slavery, including child criminal exploitation, county lines, human trafficking and human smuggling. Increasing these CPD courses so that they cover all aspects of the Modern Slavery Act.

Spring/Summer 2021 - OFFICIAL LAUNCH of ACTion to end Modern Slavery (reliant on us reaching our stretch target)
